About the Artist
Painting allows me to touch life with a deep curiosity and tenderness. It gives voice to observations I feel are too nuanced for words, and offers a bridge to share these reflections with others. My hope is to convey the heart of my subject in a beautiful, honest, and harmonious way."
Jennifer began her career in 2001 as a self taught, abstract artist, showing her paintings in the midwest and later, on the west coast. As her love of painting progressed, she chose to pursue a long held interest in the traditional methods of oil painting. From 2019-2024, she honed her skills with formal atelier training, developing a strong foundation in rendering, indirect and direct method painting.
With her roots in visionary art and her education in classical realism, Jennifer's work blends archetype, emotional memory, and observation, lending a subtle narrative to every piece.
Jennifer was born (1979) in Stevens Point, WI and currently resides with her family in Oregon City, OR.
